    The four places

    1. 1Working directory: the files you edit.
    2. 2Staging area: what the next commit will hold. git add puts a change here.
    3. 3Repository: the commits. git commit records the staging area.
    4. 4Remote (origin): the copy on GitHub. git push sends commits, git pull brings them.
